The Jordanian “Taekwondo” succeeded in registering its fifth Olympic attendance in a row in the Olympics, as Jordanian Taekwondo has not missed the Olympics since its official adoption in the Sydney 2000 Olympics, a sport that gifted Jordan its first official medal in the Olympic Games with Ahmed Abu Ghosh winning the gold in the under-68 kg weight At the Rio Olympics in 2016.

Taekwondo is one of the most systematic and scientific traditional Korean martial arts taught through the school curriculum. Due to the structure that Taekwondo has to offer, it is now taught as a major in more than 20 universities and colleges around the world.

Jordan Taekwondo Federation

The Jordanian Taekwondo Federation was established in 1979 and includes about 1,943 male and female players. The Federation includes 135 centers, and it participated in 7 previous Olympic editions in 1988, 1992, 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016.
