Ziad Ashish, born on October 20, 1998, is a player for the Jordanian national boxing team. He is the brother of the player Hussein Ashish. He began practicing boxing in 2009 at the Jordan Youth Center in Al-Baqa’a camp. He joined the ranks of the Jordanian team in 2014 and was his first participation with the Jordanian national team in an international tournament In Turkey in 2015, he succeeded in 2020 by qualifying for the Tokyo Olympics.

Ashish managed to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics after winning the gold medal in the under 69 kg boxing competition in the boxing championship qualifying for the Tokyo Olympics for the continents of Asia and Oceania.

In that tournament, Ziad opened his career by defeating the Australian, Malia Jason, and then winning the quarter-finals against Samoa player, Marion Faustino, to ensure his qualification to the Tokyo Olympics, and then won the semi-finals against the first-ranked, Asian champion and world champion bronze 2019 Uzbekistan’s Baturov Bobo-Osman, in the final, won the gold in his weight class because his Indian opponent, Krishna Vikas, did not climb to the ring due to an injury.

Ziad Ashish also won the bronze medal at the Asian Games in Indonesia in 2018, and was the only Arab boxer to win a medal in that tournament.
